ALLIUM-PHARMA®

Pharmaceutical-grade Allium sativum.

Four cultivar lines under field stabilisation, each with documented allicin profile, organosulfur fraction analysis, and post-harvest characteristics suitable for pharmaceutical extraction and premium culinary processing.

Active stabilisationNDA-protected dossier

Garlic phytochemistry has decades of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical relevance — allicin and related organosulfur compounds, antioxidant flavonoids, mineral profiles. ALLIUM-PHARMA® is the TEHNOFARM® programme for identifying, stabilising, and documenting specific varietal lines with reproducible analytical profiles suitable for industrial extraction and pharmaceutical-grade raw material supply.

Strămoșesc — heritage anchor

Restored and reproduced by NORD NUC as a heritage line of south-western Bessarabia. Documented profile: allicin 3.5–4.5 mg/g; storage exceeding four months without refrigeration; dry-matter 42–45%; antioxidant activity 1.5–2.5 mmol/100 g. The Strămoșesc line carries pharmaceutical heritage and agrogenetic significance distinct from commodity varietals.

Violet Spring — Moldovan-adapted

Originally a non-bolting spring-type cultivar from the Córdoba and Las Pedroñeras regions of Spain. Brought to Moldova more than two decades ago and grown without seed-material refreshment. Under sustained natural selection, the population stabilised into a winter-bolting form producing aerial bulbils while retaining original external and gustatory characteristics. Documented profile: allicin 0.55–0.70%; dry-matter 39–44%; storage to nine months.

Krasnyi Imperator Tibeta — premium varietal

Tibetan winter-bolting line (Gongma Marpo, གོང་མ་དམར་པོ་), adapted to Moldovan conditions. 12–15 cloves per head, distinctive violet-red colour with surface gloss; clove length to 6.5 cm. Frost resistance to −25 °C. High-density head structure suitable for premium pharmaceutical and culinary applications, including black-garlic processing. Storage to eight months.

Lyubasha — industrial yield

Ukrainian breeder's line by I.I. Zakharenko. Vegetation 85–95 days; 4–7 cloves per head at 15–20 g each; commercial yield to 3.5 t/ha; storage to ten months. Strong disease-resistance profile across fusarium and basic onion-fly exposure.

Status
